Friday Lift - January 3, 2014

I had some spare time after work and figured now is a good a time as any to get back in the swing of things. I didn’t get as much done as I would have hoped due mainly to cramping in my legs and nauseousness I couldn’t shake. I’ll see you again soon, gym.
- 7 min elliptical warm up

- Leg press

  • 270 x 9
  • 180 x 10 (started cramping up lol)

- Incline dumbbell press

  • 35 x 10

On to the Finals!

I’ve been playing in this touch football league for about 6 years. With 2 season a year that’s 12 seasons.

Our team has won the lower division championship a couple times. The last 2 seasons we’ve won the “losers bracket” (getting knocked out first playoff game) twice as well for the upper division.

Last night we won a semi final game to earn the right to play for the league championship.

We will be playing a great team. They’ve won 6 Championships in a row so to say we are an underdog would be and understatement.

Sunday can’t come soon enough.

You’d think I would be heading to the gym. But, alas, no. I am heading to physio.

I really could’ve used a gym session tonight. I hate being injured. I have some things I need to work through here! I’m hoping I’ll be back to normal by midweek.

Physio Monday and no football this weekend.

Sundays Game

We rebounded from a tough loss to beat our biggest rival 37-18. What’s more impressive is we only had 8 guys to play when we usually have 10-12. So basically the whole team except our QB played the entire game.

Their last score was on the last play of the game and we were trying out a funky formation on D.

Happy to get the win.

I was pretty disappointed with my shoulders this time around. But that’s what you get when you don’t lift for 9 days. I have no one to blame but myself.
